My commitment to politics and institutions
Dialogue and learn from the people I meet
In schools, markets, factories, in the places where men and women live, work, commit, suffer, dream of a better future for themselves and for the people they love: politics is for me above all this, the privilege of meeting , compare myself, learn from whom I meet, offer my ideas, improve myself thanks to those of others.
My commitment to the Senate of the Republic
For five long, exciting, difficult years I had the honor of being in the Senate. I have been involved in European policies, constitutional reforms and foreign policy. I have been the rapporteur for some important bills including the publishing reform, the fight against jiadist radicalism, European laws and European delegation laws. On the occasion of the referendum I was coordinator of the BastaunSì Committees.

My commitment to the Government
During the Renzi and Gentiloni Governments I was a consultant to Palazzo Chigi collaborating closely with Sandro Gozi, Minister responsible for European Policies.
Together for the values and principles that are important to us
The only real wealth that is worth setting out for is the disinterested friendship that binds men. United by the desire to leave the world a little better than we found it, we cross oceans in storms we did not know. Even in front of those who grind their teeth, we keep our heads straight and the smile of those who look away (and then even further away).

Stronger international relations
A better Europe
Italy, a wonderful country, rich in history, art, culture, knowledge not only philosophical but also scientific, industrial, financial, a land of enormous resources that arise from the genius of its inhabitants, a land of encounter between diversities, has the task and the responsibility to contribute to the wealth of nations with a policy that gives voice to the great values and principles that have guided us even in the darkest moments. I believe in a liberal democracy, respectful of minorities, capable of protecting that fragile ecosystem which is the dialogue between young and old, between subjects with different interests. I can no longer stand those vulgar who attack the opponent on a personal level rather than his ideas. I am convinced that Italy must contribute to building Europe as the homeland of civil and social rights, that it must have the strength and the foresight to be a bridge for dialogue with the Middle and Far East, but above all it must strengthen and to consolidate bonds of friendship and economic interests as well as common defense at the Atlantic level.
Coordinating a new difficult challenge Italia Viva Milano
A bit unexpected, as it often happens in life, here I found myself involved in a new challenge, mainly carried away by the esteem and friendship of the people who together with me decided to face it. It is a difficult challenge, on which the prejudices and sometimes even the insults of those who are not interested in discussing but only denigrating weigh. For me it is also a challenge to say thank you to Milan, the city where I have lived most of my life and which never ceases to excite me with its beauty and its sometimes spasmodic search for the future.
